Yay to Life

The world is full of imperfection and every day the news stories remind us of that. So from time to time we relish in the positive and the good news stories; the ones that remind us humans are not all cruel; that life is not always that hard. Those last five minutes on the news are like a post script, like we all want to end on a positive thought. That’s how I want to live my life, but not just a post script; all positive thoughts.

I live in a bubble of my own making; a protection from what’s out there, but sometimes we have to look out and we have to protest. I see the way we treat animals for example and I think: we must learn to use that compassion more. We must learn to celebrate life and not to destroy it.

Life is a precious gift, today lives will end and new ones will begin. I read that something like four babies are born every second and two people die every second and I found this and watched the numbers changing before my eyes: this makes you think. Fodder for a story maybe? http://www.worldometers.info/

It’s Friday. Another weekend on its way. Celebrate life. Stop for a moment and listen; right now.

Pause for listening.

Think about what you have achieved this week.

Pause for thinking.

Think about what you want from your life.

Make it happen. Begin now.

Breathe in through your nose.

Hold onto it.

Pause for conscious breathing.

Let it out.

Relax your shoulders, your face. Let the tension go.

LIVE so you don’t need a positive post script. Make your life the best it can be.

Happy weekend everyone.
