Capture the moment

When I was a child I used to wish I could capture life in a bottle.

I used to wish I could take those moments I truly loved, like Christmas, a holiday, listening to a favourite song and then open the bottle and feel it whenever I needed to.

Now I just have to use my imagination.

And I see writing as a way to capture those moments.

As I sit here now in the quiet of the day I can hear the dawn chorus which reminds me that some things happen every day which just don’t stop to listen.

Last night we had the second meeting of Canvey Writers, twenty-two talented people and I have my own buzz, talent is everywhere, we have stop and look.

Life is the gift we have for but a fleeting moment, so stop, use your senses and make a connection. Do it now. What do you hear? See? How do you feel?

Have a lovely day everyone.
