A new month, a new novel and the advent calendar of writing tips

I can finally let Christmas in and enjoy the countdown! Something lovely about a new month and especially one with Christmas as its climax. In fact I did make a start on some Christmas shopping Saturday even though it wasn’t quite December (my rule) but I was inspired by Canvey’s Christmas market!

It’s been a productive weekend and I now look forward to starting on the new novel. Isle of Pelicans is now officially resting between drafts and I am excited with where to take this new one which seems to be writing itself in my head when I look the other way!

So now for some research…

And if you don’t have the latest Bridge House book why not? There are 24 short stories and the idea is you read one a day in the run-up to Christmas…

And talking of advent calendars…

Every day a writing or editing tip, a favourite writing quote, book covers, writing prompts and giveaways… so do follow…
