The Saliency of Endings …

Well short and sweet this morning as I get ready to travel back home after a lovely 2 week break. I have always hated it when Christmas is over, or you get to the end of an amazing holiday, or you read the last page of the best novel ever.

It tinges everything with a feeling of emptiness, yet at the same time, isn’t an ending merely a new beginning?

I went to see the adaptation of the great novel The Life of Pi yesterday and what an amazing film that is. The story is incredible because it has a salient message about life and about faith that stays long after the closing credits.

That’s what I think we all strive for in our writing, may the last bite of the ‘turkey’ sandwich stay with us and make us want more, long after the Christmas decorations have been packed away.

Keep writing and have a great day all.
